But God, who is the root and source of life, has made a way for us to be grafted back in to the “Tree of Life”. When we accept Jesus Christ on His terms, surrendering our horribly mistaken and catastrophic so-called sovereignty over our lives to Him, and in return receive the Holy Spirit, who is the Agent and agency of the completed re-connection with God, we are “born again from above”, and life begins to flow through us as it was meant to. This is a reality, not just an intellectual exercise. It is more substantial than the earth on which we stand. Just like a grafted branch, we begin to blossom and bear fruit and reproduce the life that is now in us. We are filled with hope and purpose which gives us an absolute assurance that we are accepted by God, and which begins to demonstrate what that means both in us, and through us to others as we live out the dynamics of the Lord’s life in the practice of living outside of ourselves and for the well-being of others.
