Here are a few more of my chainsaw sculptures.  These are all taken from deadfall branches or trunks that I found in the forest around our area. The large Barred Owl is sculpted from a thick branch of Pennsylvania cherry.  The three Screech Owls are worked in maple.  The Eagle was found in a crotch of black oak.  The Great Blue Heron was carved from a windfall log of pine.  All of these are finished with multiple applications of spar urethane so that they can be displayed as outdoor garden sculptures if desired.
